LCD monitor frequency, Aspire 5610 with 15.4″?
I brought new notebook some time ago, it's really fast i like it, but i got one really big issue, LCD frequency is only 60Hz, so I cant work for some 2-3 hours, my eyes cant stand this low frequency, in monitor properties it shows me that it's a plug and play monitor, so it means it has no driver installed, and i see only 60hz to choose in options... I searched for a driver, but i cant find any ![]()
My notebook is Acer Aspire 5610awlmi, with 15.4" LCD WXGA ,Crystal Brite monitor. I just cant imagine how such monitor cant get above 60Hz.. i have integrated Intel GMA 950 video, its 128 mb, i can get very hight resolution, but i dont need it if i cant work with it...
So can someone help me with that question ? is there some drivers or another ways to make it at least 75 hz...

Well, I don’t think you will have any luck. My IBM thinkpad only allows 60 Mhz refresh too. But you can go here:
http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/Acer_drivers.cfm download the newest driver and see if that helps. You could buy an external monitor and run that off your laptop.
Good luck.
LCD monitors do not produce visual discomfort at 60 Hz refresh rate, unlike larger CRT displays.

Are you sure that the problem is not due to too small characters or ghosting on movement because of a slow response time?
